Use of DIR Contracts During Disaster

On August 27, 2017, the Governor filed an amended disaster proclamation, that suspends state procurement and contracting statute or administrative rule, to the extent it impedes a state agency's emergency response necessary to protect life or property threatened by the disaster.

‚ÄčAgencies may use the Emergency Procurement Blanket Exemption throughout the duration of the declared disaster to purchase IT commodities that may otherwise be purchased through a DIR cooperative or telecommunications contract, or through Data Center Services or

Further, related to the declared disaster, agencies may purchase information technology products and services from a DIR contract, without conforming to procedural requirements and prescribed limitations, that otherwise would be required under such purchases.
