Texas announces cybersecurity youth training partnership

‚ÄčLast Friday Governor Greg Abbott announced a new training program, in partnership with the SANS Institute, designed to encourage young women to become involved in the field of cybersecurity.

The partnership will focus on recruiting high school female students in Texas for GirlsGoCyberStart, a free online game for students to discover their talents in cybersecurity and learn more about computer security training.

Registration opens January 29 and closes February 16. Game play begins at 09:00am EST on February 20, and stops at 11:59pm EST on February 25.
