‚ÄčThe role of information technology in Texas state agencies continues to grow, driven by digital government and constituent expectations. In response to DIR's Legacy Systems Study, the 84th Texas Legislature (2015) passed House Bill 1890, which charged DIR with developing a strategy to guide the state in legacy system modernization efforts. The strategy includes establishing a statewide application development framework. As a result, DIR has created the Application Development Decision Framework (ADDF).

The Application Development Decision Framework (ADDF) will guide Texas agencies to develop next-generation applications that meet the increasing need for agility, speed-to-market and quality.

In addition, the ADDF offers best practices for key areas of application development to provide agencies with guidance for selecting the "right" approach for their organization, along with toolkit-based decision models to help with more complex choices that may include a range of outcomes.

This webinar provides a thirty-minute overview of the ADDF followed by plenty of time for questions.
