Program Overview

The Office of the Statewide Data Coordinator of DIR is hosting its 1st Annual Texas Government Data Forum on Thursday, June 22nd at the Commons Learning Center at the JJ Pickle Campus in Austin.

This is a free one-day event for eligible customers from state agencies as well as local government and education.

This free event is open to any Texas government/public sector staff interested in data issues.  (Pre-registration is required.)

Location & Parking

Commons Learning Center within J.J. Pickle Research Campus

10100 Burnet Road, Austin, TX 78758

Southwest corner of Burnet Road and Braker Lane

DIR will email confirmed registrants a parking pass before the event. If displayed on the dash when entering the complex, you do not need to stop at the guard gate. Commons parking is available in the lots on the north and west sides of the building. Overflow parking is in the two lots on the east side of the building. Vehicles not displaying permits may be ticketed.


Registration is closed.
Eligibility: You must be a current employee of a Texas government/public sector organization.

The event is free; however, pre-registration is required. PLEASE return to the form and notify DIR if your plans change.  

Note: Depending on the registration response, it may be necessary to limit the number of attendees from each organization so that the maximum number of entities can participate


Complimentary morning and afternoon refreshments and a luncheon will be served.

Continuing Education

The event will provide 6.0 contact hours of general continuing education credit (6.0 CPEs for Texas IRMs).

DIR invites interested vendors to participate in the 2017 Texas Government Data Forum by exhibiting and/or providing a speaker. This free one-day conference is open to Texas government personnel and is targeted to both business and IT leaders.  TASSCC serves as a sponsor.

Opportunity to Exhibit 

Participating as an exhibitor offers a unique marketing opportunity and a chance to learn more about state government needs while interacting with key decision-makers. We expect 200+ attendees from a wide variety of Texas state agencies and universities. See exhibitor registration website for more details and to register.

Exhibitors should be vendors with DIR contracts and offering solutions relevant to the topics proposed for this conference.
