Program Overview

The Office of the Statewide Data Coordinator of DIR is hosting its 3rd Annual Texas Government Data Forum on Thursday, June 27th at the Commons Conference Center at the JJ Pickle Campus in Austin.

This is a free one-day event for eligible DIR customers from state agencies as well as local government and public education.

  • Eligibility: You must be a current employee of a Texas government/public sector organization.
  • Cost/Fees: The event is free; however, pre-registration is required and all registrants must commit to the cancellation policy, which includes a late cancellation/no show fee. 

Cancellation Policy & No Show Fees

Cancellation Deadline: Noon, Friday, June 21, 2019. 
(Cancellations must be received via enrollment form.)

DIR is pleased to provide this FREE event for eligible attendees. Unfortunately, free events experience as much as 40% no shows and late cancellations. This results in empty seats, wasted funds, and wait-list registrants denied the opportunity to attend. 

For those reasons, a $50 fee will be charged for any no shows and late cancellations (those who fail to cancel by deadline stated above). A substitution can be sent without notice.

DIR understands that sometimes urgent matters arise that prevent someone from attending. That is a business decision for the registrant's agency to make, weighing the $50 cost.

DIR will email confirmed registrants a parking pass before the event. If displayed on the dash when entering the complex, you do not need to stop at the guard gate. Commons parking is available in the lots on the north and west sides of the building. Overflow parking is in the two lots on the east side of the building. Vehicles not displaying permits may be ticketed.

Refreshments

Complimentary morning and afternoon refreshments and a luncheon will be served.

Continuing Education

The event will provide 6.0 contact hours of general continuing education credit (6.0 CPEs for Texas IRMs).

DIR invites interested vendors to participate in the 2019 Texas Government Data Forum by exhibiting and/or providing a speaker. This free one-day conference is open to Texas government personnel and is targeted to both business and IT leaders.  TASSCC serves as a sponsor. See exhibitor/presenter flyer.

Participating as an exhibitor offers a unique marketing opportunity and a chance to learn more about state government needs while interacting with key decision-makers.
