Technology Based Training, including Instructor-led Training for Technology
The purpose of this solicitation is to award contracts to provide Technology Based and instructor Led Training. This RFO is comprised of three separate sections: 1) Standard Technology Based Training (TBT) Services; 2) Customized TBT Testing and Training; and 3) Technology Based Instructor Led Training. Standard TBT Services (Annual Subscription and Single Course) include access to a comprehensive course catalog over the Internet. The learning environment shall have complete reporting and administrative functions, including but not limited to, mentoring, e-reference materials, tutorials, roles-based content packages specifically for Human Resources, Customer Services, and Information Technology Workers. Customized TBT Testing and Training provides services to DIR customers through the Vendor’s Internet website. The Vendor may provide tailored solutions as related to customization and delivery of online testing, education, and training resources to meet DIR Customer defined training and testing needs.
Miscellaneous Information Technology (IT) Hardware, Peripherals, Components and Related Services
Vendors may submit a response for any hardware peripherals, components and related services offered by the Vendor. Hardware Components – an information technology device that is typically an internal attachment, which has an essential function and purpose to assist in the design of a computer or other type of IT hardware equipment. Examples of such devices would be memory, hard drives, or video cards. Hardware Peripherals – an information technology device that is typically an external attachment, which is not part of the essential make-up or design of a computer or other type of IT equipment but assists the main IT device in its function. Examples of such devices would be a keyboard, mouse, or speakers.
The resulting Cloud Services Contracts awarded pursuant to this RFO will provide DIR Customers with access to cloud service models such as: Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (Iaas), Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS), Cloud Broker, Miscellaneous as a Service (MaaS). Deployment models include: Private Cloud, Community Cloud, Public Cloud, and Hybrid Cloud.
Apple-branded Products and Related Services
This solicitation is for All Apple Branded Products including, but is not limited to, desktops, laptops, tablets, peripherals, accessories, and software products manufactured, distributed, or licensed under the Apple brand name and related services. Third Party Products may be proposed as an option and will be awarded at the discretion of DIR. Third Party Products are those hardware, peripherals, accessories and software by other manufacturers or publishers that may be used as an attachment or embedded within an Apple device to create, enhance or extend the functionality of the Apple branded device; or to create, enhance or extend the functionality of the Authorized Third Party Product which release on an Apple device platform to function.
Laboratory Technology Products and Related Services
DIR seeks to add a new category of services to its Cooperative Contracts offerings. As technology evolves, there are numerous opportunities to improve manual processes, data analytics, and overall efficiency. Additional information gathering will need to take place, however, the following categories are of interest: Laboratory Automation Next-Generation DNA Sequencing (NGS) Point-of-Care Testing (POC) IT Diagnostics Products Laboratory Internet of Things (IoT)
Managed Network Services Research
Research into managed services offerings for networking. DIR would like to establish a managed network services Shared Technology Services service component for consumption by DIR Customers and potentially DIR for the DCS program.
CPO Tool Refresh and Update
Procurement of a software tool that would provide procurement management, as well as contract management functions.
Procurement Assistance – Texas.gov
Contingent on Texas.gov Market Research results, potential services - used to augment DIR resources - may include any of the following areas: industry expertise, procurement project management, transition assistance, and financial planning.
Managed services for the fee-for-service repair and or replacement of information technology assets.
Learning Management System (LMS)
Procurement of a platform that would host DIR created statutory training to administer to agencies as needed.
