AUSTIN-- The Texas Department of Information Resources received Top Workplaces USA Culture Excellence 2023 awards in all five categories, based on employee feedback.

Fostering a thriving culture for DIR employees is a top priority of DIR’s executive leadership and these recognitions validate our efforts,” Amanda Crawford said, DIR’s Executive Director and Chief Information Officer for the State of Texas. “While we are a technology agency, we are powered by people, and those people are united in a passion for public service and their commitment to serving Texas through DIR.”

Top Workplaces USA describes the five award categories DIR received as follows:

  • The Purpose & Values award celebrates organizations that have successfully communicated the company mission and integrated those aspirations into the culture.

  • The Work-Life Flexibility award recognizes organizations that have built a culture that enables employees to meet the demands of their personal lives while maintaining high performance.

  • The Compensation & Benefits award celebrates organizations that provide packages their employees believe are fair for the work being done and compared to others in the industry.

  • The Innovation award recognizes organizations that have created a culture where new ideas are encouraged, which helps employees to reach their full potential and benefits performance.

  • The Leadership award celebrates organizational leaders who inspire confidence in employees and the company direction. They listen to what matters most to employees and use that insight in decision making.

Top Workplaces National Culture Excellence awards are based on DIR’s employee’s answers to an anonymous survey administered by Energage LLC.
