Texas Students Top National Cyber Scholarship Foundation Competition

Congratulations to 68 Texas high school students named National Cyber Scholars after competing in a national competition hosted by the National Cyber Scholarship Foundation.

Texas students earned over $575,000 combined in scholarships and training. Over 30,000 students across the country sought to qualify for the competition, and just 5,000 student advanced. Texas' National Cyber Scholars are among the best 600 high school students nationwide who completed the 48-hour competition, which challenged participants to solve computer security problems and/or capture and defend computer systems.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott also congratulated the 68 Texas student scholars in a press release on May 21, 2021.
