This half-day workshop provides a practical approach to securing today's highly distributed, hyper-connected government.  We will explore how government agencies can embrace digitization and take advantage of IoT now through a security transformation that includes establishing strong security protocols, deploying highly integrated security devices tied to advanced SIEM technologies, and implementing dynamic internal segmentation as a critical additional layer of network and data protection.

Presenters

Aamir Lakhani, Senior Security Researcher, FortiGuard Labs at Fortinet,  is a leading Senior Security Researcher. Lakhani creates technical security strategies and leads security implementation projects for Fortune 500 companies. Lakhani's current role has him specializing as a Lead Researcher, Forensics Specialist, and Incident Response Handler in the field of AI, machine learning, offensive attack methodologies and advanced cybercrimes.

Jonathan Nguyen-Duy is Vice President, Strategy and Analytics at Fortinet, where he focuses on emerging technologies and key partnerships. He has unique global government and commercial experience with a deep understanding of threats, technology, compliance and business issues. Previously, Nguyen-Duy was Security CTO at Verizon Global Security Services.
