Notice
DIR is currently working with DPS to develop a model policy for the prohibition of covered applications per SB 1893, 88(R). The Statewide Security Plan for Prohibited Technologies and Model State Agency Policy for Preventing Use of Prohibited Technology located on this page apply to entities included in the Governor's December 2022 directive.
DIR will provide notice via our communications channels with the SB 1893 model policy that applies to local governments is made available.
Guidance
The software and hardware products listed below are prohibited from being used on state-owned devices and networks. Exceptions may be granted to enable law-enforcement investigations and other legitimate uses. The exceptions may only be approved by the head of the agency. This authority may not be delegated. All approved exceptions must be reported to DIR.
