DIR Wins Three StateScoop 50 Awards

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) received three awards recognizing the nation’s most influential public sector IT leaders and projects from the Scoop News Group as part of the 2022 StateScoop 50 awards.

DIR’s winners include:

  • Executive Director and state of Texas Chief Information Officer Amanda Crawford – GoldenGov: State Executive of the Year
  • Director of Enterprise Solution Services and Centers of Excellence Krishna Edathil- State IT Leadership of the Year
  • Texas by Texas (TxT) State IT Innovation of the Year

“It’s an honor to be recognized along with my talented peers across the country, and it’s my privilege to lead the team of dedicated public servants at DIR,” Crawford said. “Congratulations to Krishna and the team behind TxT for this well-deserved recognition. These are big wins for Team Texas!”

StateScoop received more than 1,000 nominees for the awards, which honor “the most influential people in the state government community and the most innovative projects that advance services and solutions for residents.”  The website narrowed the list to nearly 180 finalists and the winners were selected by readers who cast more than 3.5 million votes.

 

The ninth annual awards were presented at a reception in conjunction with the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO)’ midyear conference in National Harbor, Maryland.
